About

You could, I guess, call this blog my New Years Resolution.

I've tried blogging before and just lose interest and stop. I've decided to try again. I've been posting 'poems' on Instagram fairly regularly since my surgery in September of 2016. I couldn't get around easily and tended to sit in the recliner and read. That or spout nonsense rhymes and alliterations at my cat. She seems to pay more attention when there are repeated sounds.

I will start by posting rewrites of the poems I've posted on Instagram. Why rewrites? Because, unfortunately, I'm one of those people who are never satisfied with what they create.

My intention at this point is to post at least two pieces a week. At least until I have caught up with the pieces I've already posted on Instagram. These posts will be either rewrites from Instagram or new poems or new micro fiction. Once all of the posts from Instagram have been brought over I will try to post at least one new piece a month. I also plan on changing the featured poem once a month. Ideally on the first Sunday of the month

Most of my poems tend to be rather concrete. On one hand they are about something, usually about something that happened to me or that I saw happen. On the other hand, I usually try to use the event to express something more abstract, an emotion or belief.  Personally, I suspect the Asperger Syndrome plays a large part in this.

I have decided to publish Micro Fiction with a blue background. I'm thinking about publishing the poems with a light green background. Mostly just to add some colour to the site.
