My Soul

OK, to be honest, this started as a kinda snarky aside. I'd just read a couple of what I tend to think of as "emo bubbles" and the juxtaposition of the imagery in the two poems struck me as more powerful than either poem by itself.

What is an emo bubble? It is what I call a catch-phrase or sound bite, or pithy saying about an emotion — usually, love, or loss, or regret, or I think you get the idea.
