Where did this come from? One of the characters in a book I'm reading grabbed another character by the ear and lead him from the crime scene. That, in turn, lead to a welter of thoughts some, of which, included: leading a horse to water, telling someone what they want to hear, whispering sweet nothings, and a ridiculous number of words that rhyme with ear.
